Taking a dig on the Centre over the Agnipath navy recruitment scheme, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Sunday stated that the nation’s safety and the way forward for the youth are at risk with this new experiment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s laboratory.
He took to Twitter and wrote in Hindi, “60 troopers retire yearly, out of which solely 3,000 will get authorities jobs.”
“What would be the way forward for 1000’s of ‘Agniveers’ retiring after 4-year contracts,” he questioned.

“With this new experiment of the Prime Minister’s laboratory, each the safety of the nation and the way forward for the youth are at risk,” Gandhi stated.
A number of elements of the nation witnessed protests after the announcement of the scheme that seeks to recruit youths between the age bracket of 17-and-half years to 21 for under 4 years with a provision to retain 25 per cent of them for 15 extra years.
For 2022, the higher age restrict has been prolonged to 23 years.
