The Haryana Police on Tuesday apprehended a person in reference to the homicide of Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Singh in Nuh.
Singh, who was investigating unlawful stone-mining, was killed on Tuesday, when a truck he signalled to cease ran over him.
The accused has been recognized as Ikkar, who was the motive force of the truck, sources mentioned. The police caught the accused after an encounter, throughout which Ikkar is reported to have acquired a gun shot to his knee.
The accused has been taken to Nalhar Medical school for therapy.
BACKGROUND
Singh, alongside along with his workforce, had gone to conduct raids to cease unlawful mining in Aravalli hills in Pachgaon space close to Tauru when he noticed the truck at round midday.
Tauru DSP Surendra Singh had signalled the dumper-truck to halt to verify paperwork. However the driver sped on, working over him.
The officer’s gunman and his driver jumped apart to security, however the DSP was hit. He was rushed to the hospital the place medical doctors declared him useless, police mentioned.
