Former Jharkhand governor and tribal chief Draupadi Murmu shall be BJP-led NDA candidate for the upcoming presidential elections, confirmed BJP chief J P Nadda on Tuesday night time.

“For the primary time, choice has been given to a girl tribal candidate. We announce Draupadi Murmu as NDA’s candidate for the upcoming Presidential elections,” mentioned BJP chief JP Nadda.

BJP introduced its candidate hours after Yashwant Sinha was named the joint opposition candidate for presidential polls. Sinha is a former Union Minister within the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA authorities.
