Arrested West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee’s aide Arpita Mukherjee has been remanded to one-day Enforcement Directorate custody. She can be produced within the PMLA courtroom on Monday.
Earlier within the day, Arpita Mukherjee was moved out of the ED headquarters in Kolkata and brought for a medical check-up. She was produced in Bankshal Courtroom, however the order was reserved.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on Saturday, July 23, in reference to its probe into the alleged faculty jobs rip-off in West Bengal. The arrest of Partha Chatterjee adopted after Rs 21 crore in money was recovered from the Kolkata house of Arpita Mukherjee, a detailed aide of the previous schooling minister. Arpita Mukherjee was additionally arrested by the company on Saturday.
